• I’d like to make the page that comes up when you click Important Information on the following page http://www.emberjd.com/annexe-insurance/smaller, as the page that comes up is only a few lines. If could open in a quarter/third of the size would be good (with option to expand). Would be grateful for some help. This is new to me, so please go easy.

    Thanks

  • Not quite clear. Since there’s no text “Important Information” in the link you provided, may I assume you’re referring to the links within the blue background headed by QuoteLinks?

    However, you alsos mentioned that the “page that comes up is only a few lines” but most of the links I clicked on open up to pages with more than a couple of paragraphs. Please clarify.

    Hi, I’d like to make the page view of the ‘important information’ page when you click the link much smaller. Ideally as wide to fit in the text, but a lot shorter. Thanks

    Sorry, I still don’t get what is the ‘important information’ page. URI of the important information page?

    @emberjd- mercime is saying there is no “Important Information” page, no link for it and no text for it.

    Hi, on http://www.emberjd.com/annexe-insurance/ page towards the bottom of the page, when you click on the ‘important information’ anchor text, I would like the page that comes up to be a lot shorter in length in the pageview, as only a few lines. Just want visitors to see the link, click, read it, then carry on. Thanks, I hope I’m making sense.

    the length of the page (btw: not a pop-up) is determined by the amount of widgets you have in the sidebar;

    consider to use one of the plugins to control which widget is shown on what page; http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=conditional+widgets

    or create a page template for that page; http://codex.wordpress.org/Pages#Creating_Your_Own_Page_Templates

    Can I just reduce the size of the pageview window that comes up when you click on the link, so you have the width to see the text, just not the length? Thanks.

    @emberjd123 I see what you mean now. Looking at the source view, the size of the pop up window is from
    <a onclick="window.open('important-information','myWin','scrollbars=yes,width=590,height=330');" href="javascript:;">Important information</a>
    change width to e.g. 300

    However, that would only make your users scroll horizontally to read the rest of the text which is not user-friendly. You could create a page template for the page you’re calling in the pop-up http://www.emberjd.com/important-information/ which removes the header, sidebar and footer areas.
