Make it look like the sample provided

    I just want my site to look like the template they show with the slider and the posts underneath and the content on the side. I don’t understand why after hours or digging and trying, I can’t do that. I can’t even get the logo to align left. Why can’t it just automatically pull that information and look like the template it suggests it will look like? Could someone please tell me how I have to set the Rubix Cube to do that? Thank you.

    Hey @thundersbe,

    Our theme provides a custom home page template. So first create 2 pages one for displaying the home page and the other to display blog posts. Then go to the “Settings > Readings” menu in your WordPress admin and select these 2 pages.

    After this is done, go back to editing the home page and select the “Home Page” template. Please check the screenshot at the following link for reference.

    Right, but when I go to make a page that could be my home page….what am I supposed to put on it? The Appearance > Widgets section is basically being ignored. Is there short code somewhere? Something simple with drag and drop? Thank you.

    Also, would you please tell me how can I edit the header? Right now it’s just the logo centered but I’d like to have the logo on the left with three sections of content. Thank you.

    Hi,

    There is 2 things you can do in the header.
    – Set the logo, under Appearance > Customize > Header image
    – Set a header widget, under Appearance > Widgets > Header Advertisement.

    I went to Appearance > Customize > Header image and all it would let me do was to add another image. I just want to align it left.

    I also went to Appearance > Widgets > Header Advertisement BUT there was no Header Advertisement section.

    Also, I saw the slider widget and got excited because I’ve wanted to do that. The home page options were full page, 1/3, 2/3, and others and when I put the slider widget into each of those one after the other, none of them produced a slider on my home page.

    Hey @thundersbe,

    Can you please share a link to your website?

    Regarding the home page, you need to create a page from the “Pages” menu, and once that is done, you can set it as a home page from the “Settings > Reading” menu.

    Harish, thank you. I know how to set a certain page as the home page, it’s getting that page to look like what the template looks like here that seems so difficult.

    It’s a political page and I’m not comfortable sharing the link. But if someone could walk me through the process, I’d sure appreciate it.
