    Hi @velin

    Thanks for reaching out.

Inside the Cookiebot plugin, you can choose which language your banner should display. By default, Cookiebot is set to autodetect, which means it will try to detect where there user is from, and show the banner in the users language. All languages that you want auto-detected should be added in the Manager.

I know this and I have already done it.

But what I want is not that its only controlled by the users choose of language in their browser. I would like my users to see the english cookies, when they choose the english version, and if they shift back to danish, the cookies shows in danish.

Alright, so you do not want auto-detect, but you want it to enforce a specific language, depending on whether the user is browsing /en (English) or / (Danish).

Are you using any plugins for translating your site website?

Also, could you check if “Use WordPress Language” will set the correct language?

    Yes I am using Polylang

And in your material, I have found to add some tags to the cookiebot code, so it would work like this. But the problem is that I have not added cookiebot by code, but used your plugin, so I can not add these tags.

I have just changed “Use WordPress Language”, but it did not help. When I press the EN link in the menu ( change to english version) the cookies is still in english.

We have just tested Polylang with the setting “Use WordPress Language”, and it works for us.

It seems that you are using a cache plugin. Can you try to clear your WP cache (through the cache plugin) after you set the language to: “Use WordPress Language”, and test again?

Yes I can see its working now – great

    Thank you 🙂
