If you’re worried, make a backup (https://vaultpress.com/) and test on staging. What affects other users may not apply to everybody.
Actually the only real good and smart solution seems to be to wait.
Do not update woocommerce when it is just launched and wait that all the the problems are cleared.

While waiting is an option, there is no guarantee that all plugins will be compatible (it’s up to the plugin authors to updated the plugins). For this reason, it is always a good idea to have a backup and test on a staging environment.
