  • Do you mean THIS text?

    You may use these HTML tags and attributes: <a href="" title=""> <abbr title=""> <acronym title=""> <b> <blockquote cite=""> <cite> <code> <del datetime=""> <em> <i> <q cite=""> <strike> <strong>

Actually, your homepage looks completely empty except for the Comments area and some Widgets.

If you want to edit Widgets, go into “Appearance >> Widgets”.
If you want the text under your Comments box to disappear try this plugin: Stop Comment Form Spam

Looks like the text on your homepage right now is from a Post: article id="post-6".

Your Comments for that Post are TURNED ON – which is why the Comments are appearing. You could go into that Homepage Post and turn off the Comments (underneath the Post editor), or turn off Comments sitewide (“Settings >> Discussion”).

And the Search bars and everything under them (including your “Recent Posts”) is in an <aside id="sidebar">.

So it looks like all the text you want gone is:

    1. In your Comments for that particular homepage Post
    2. In your Sidebar (as Widgets)

You might be able to disable the sidebar in your Theme somewhere, or just go in and disable all the Widgets that are currently in that particular sidebar.

Dashboard>>settings>>discussion. Make sure Allow people to post comments on new articles is not checked.

I just checked. Allow people to post comments is not checked… Anywhere else this could be?

What’s happened is that i have lost the connection from the Pages-Home to the theme… What’s causing the issue is, Appearance – Editor – tpl-page-home.php..

I’ve managed to remove unwanted comments. I still don’t know how to link my home page to the theme…

What theme are you using? Typically, you’ll link your home page to the theme in the WP Theme Customizer like this: WP Customizer Screenshot

In “Appearance >> Customize” you can find the option for your blog to support a static home page or not. It depends on your Theme whether or not there is support for a custom home page.

Sometimes, also, you can find the custom home page templates in the Page editor itself here: Page Templates screenshot.

Those are located in the sidebar in your Page editor.

And lastly, if there’s a problem with the file tpl-page-home.php, make sure that your theme is fully updated. And if you’ve modified the theme yourself in any way, you might want to delete that theme from your directory altogether and then reinstall a fresh copy of an unmodified theme. That should fix any brokenness that you may have inadvertently caused with custom modifications you made.

    Does that help?

The page is set up using default template, and we i custom the home page template it doesn’t have the Home page as an option. It just to all the other pages such as About Us, Products etc, but Home is not an option?

How do i update the main theme? It shows that it is all up to date for me.

Does customizer use a static page?

When I go to set up Home as a static page and press save, it makes the home page of the website blank and note like the Home page that has been created – I am guessing this is a theme issue?

Normally you would set up the page with graphics, text, html, etc. and then publish it.

If you use a commercial theme or plugin and need support, please go to their official support channel. In order to be good stewards of the WordPress community, and encourage innovation and progress, we feel it’s important to direct people to those official locations. Doing this will provide the developer with the income they need to make WordPress awesome.
Forum volunteers are also not given access to commercial products, so they would not know why your commercial theme or plugin is not working properly. This is one other reason why volunteers forward you to the commercial product’s vendors. The vendors are responsible for supporting their commercial product.

You would go to http://html5blank.com/ for support.
