Is your home page a static page or a list of latest posts?
A link to your site might be a help as well.

Where would I get that info on my site? I have the same problem. If it is not static I think I understand what the issue is. My question (besides where to check this) is can it be flipped to be static with just a setting or should I look for a different theme if I need to edit the Home page and it is more of a website than a blogger.
fyi: theme the site is using: Twenty Ten 1.2 by the WordPress team

If you’ve not changed things from the default state, your home page is a list of the most recent posts.
You change this to a static page by creating the page in the New Page editor and then making it the front page on Dashboard –> Settings –> General

Thanks Pae that did it. Wow there was lots of info in there. I need to read more of the documentation, but, didn’t know exactly which ones to start with and had to get that fixed before it drove me nuts.
