Hello @trapbarn
Thanks for reaching out about your FAQ page.
Though you have designated it as an FAQ page in Yoast SEO schema settings, it does seem like the FAQs were not created using the Yoast FAQ blocks. Can you please confirm what third-party plugin you used in the design of the FAQ page?
We look forward to hearing from you.
Hi,
Your guess is correct. I created a regular page with q and As and then designated it as a FAQ age in Yoast. I didnt realise i had to use a plugin.
Can I do this in Yoast without using a third party?
Thanks for the feedback.
To resolve the error, you need to use the Yoast FAQ block for the design of Q and As since you have set the page in the schema settings as an FAQ page. You can learn more at https://yoast.com/how-to-build-an-faq-page/
Many thanks, I have followed your advice and it looks oK now.
May I ask is there something for “How to pages”?
I am glad the initial error is resolved. And yes, we have something for your How-to pages. See https://yoast.com/features/structured-data-blocks/how-to/
Great, I’ve been working on the “How to” page but under the Schema tab and “Page Type” drop down selevtor, I dont see a ” How to” choice available.
Thanks for the question.
Indeed, the how-to page type is not yet listed in the schema settings. However, you can test the how-to schema output using the Google Rich Result Testing Tool. If there are any errors, do not hesitate to reach out.
Super, I test the output and it passes 100%
Many thanks for your help. Much appreciated.
I was too quick to hand out the plaudits.
Whilst your FAQ feature tested OK in code validation test, it failed the Google Search Console test for an FAQ page.
It returned the same error ““main-entity” is missing.”
Looks like a bit more development is required.
