Hi, i have the same problem… 🙁
Wordpres doesn´t send notification emails – for example, to change a user’s name … I have tried multiple plugins and various “test” emails (which work), but if the user changes their password, wordpres will not send a message.
I asked users to reset their passwords as safer. I have set up its robustness in wordpress, which is already displayed when entering. I understand that a very complicated password is harder to remember, but I think storing a browser’s name and password is less dangerous than the previous approach, when some users used passwords like “12345”, etc … Classics. ) confessed in the pub…. 🙁
And now what bothers me:
There are relatively few of us (me and users) and I would like to have a “check mark” that individual users have actually changed their access name to a more robust one.
I remember that sooner if a user changed their password, I received a wordpress message saying that the user changed his password. The message text came from wordperss@domain.com, there was “[DOMENA.CZ] Password changed” and only the sentence “Password changed for: XXXXX” in the message body itself
So it was a short info to the admin that the user changed the password. Naturally, I cannot and do not know the wording of the password, but unfortunately I have now found out that this message has stopped coming to my email. Unfortunately, I was just not paying attention to these messages and now (if it suits me) I’m not able to find out what happened to me that I’m not coming into my email anymore. The last time such a message came a few months ago, I have no idea whether it has become a plugin or a different version of wordpress. I only know that it would help me now (see below) and now it doesn’t work.
As I wrote – I didn’t even notice that the news had stopped coming in because I didn’t follow it and now I don’t know why it happened. It occurred to me that this could be caused by a plugin I had installed in the meantime, but:
a) All plugins I have gone through, there is no setting related to sending such mails, and I think that there is no logic related to my problem. After all, I just installed about three or four.
b) The above-mentioned information mail goes from the wordpress installation (from wordpress@DOMAIN.CZ) and I was wondering if it is not adjustable somewhere there. But where? However, since I am an amateur and have installed wordpress long ago and only once, I do not know where I can set this up and resume sending these emails…
Does anyone have any experience with it? After all, when it used to work for me, it must be adjustable somewhere, but I crawled the web maybe fifty times, and I can’t think of anything… 🙁
Now I have the system set that the weak password cannot be set, so the user can only set some strong ones. So I just want to know that everyone has already done it and I would just remind those “stragglers.” In short, I could “tick off” individual users who changed their password to safer.
Thank you! (Of course, I’ll add feedback here)
