Hi,

I have a problem with installing mailpoet, I get an error concerning access to the wp-content/uploads folder. I searched for a solution and found the info concerning setting the access right to 777…
But no luck.
Looking at my configuration i see that we store our media files in a completly different folder, not within public_html.
It seems like a lot of work to change our media folder to “uploads” and to handle all the broken links to all our media.
Is there some other way to solve this?

Thanks for reaching out and I apologize for the late reply.

I saw that following these steps solved it for some users with a similar error (“MailPoet requires write permissions inside the /wp-content/uploads folder.”): http://cengizekimci.com/wordpress/fixedunable-to-create-directory-wp-content-uploads-is-its-parent-directory-writable-by-the-server-in-wordpress/

Your hosting company should also be able to help you with the correct configuration of your custom Uploads folder.
