Mailpoet is not working with https

For me Mailpoet is working good in QA env but not in PROD. Both QA and PROD have same configuration. So only different I feel is usage of https in prod.
When I hit link
“http://www.example.com/?mailpoet_router&endpoint=cron_daemon&action=ping” I get error
cURL error 28: connect() timed out!

In my settings I have given Newsletter task scheduler (cron) to option ‘Visitors to your website (recommended)’.

I have spend a lot of time for this. Please help
