Hi there @helgeros 👋🏽!
Thank you for reaching out to MailPoet Support!
So now is the question, to allow also mailpoet to send with my domain, what should I update my SPF record with?
Are you going to be sending your MailPoet emails with MailPoet Sending Service or with another third-party sending service?
Cheers!
For wordpress (specificall mailpoet plugin) related things I will be using mailpoet sending services.
Though I use the domain for other things as well, for example my personal email service.
So thats why I have the SPF record currently set to allow only M365 SPF as well as mailgun SPF.
Since I use -all in my current SPF record I would assume any email sent with my domain from anywhere else than M365 and mailgun, will be dropped by reciptients antispam solution
Hello there @helgeros ,
Thank you for getting back to us and letting us know.
Since you intend to use MailPoet to send your emails, you don’t need to set up SPF but if you’d want to set it up either way, the correct format would be:
v=spf1 include:spf.sendingservice.net ~all
and if you already have an SPF e.g v=spf1 include:amazonses.com ~all, you should include “include:spf.sendingservice.net” so you’d have a single SPF record and it would look like this:
v=spf1 include:amazonses.com include:spf.sendingservice.net ~all
Please note this should not have any impact on your deliverability as you don’t need to set up an SPF record when you’re sending the MailPoet. Because the sending service’s domain is ours, sendingservice.net SPF will be checked, not your domain’s. That’s why the domain’s SPF is irrelevant.
Have a great day.
Thanks for the information in regards to the SPF record.
Littlebit confused about the last part of your reply.
Your’re sending with my domain as senders-address right? Users wount receive email from something@sendingservice.net ?
