Recently we discovered that MailChimp is blocked from accessing our RSS feed (to send an email when a new post publishes) — I have reached out to MC to request IPs (or something similar) that I might be able to whitelist, but is there a setting in the CleanTalk plugin that I might set to allow not just specifically MailChimp, but any similar connections (I don’t know how it is trying to load the RSS content, but why would this be blocked?)

To confirm, MailChimp IS able to access the feed URL when CleanTalk is deactivated.

Also, it was also working prior to about 2 or 3 weeks ago. (with CleanTalk active)

    Hello bwdgraphics,

I looked at your SpamFireWall log and found two entries with the IP address 3.19.249.238 blocked. That IP is currently on our blocklist. The User-Agent in the request is listed as MailChimp.

You can add this IP and any others, if applicable, to your personal whitelists. This guide will help you: https://cleantalk.org/help/sfw-blacklist-usage.

I’ll also check with our developers to see if we can offer you an alternative solution. We’ll get back to you within 3 business days.

    Thank you for your patience.

Our developers have made changes to ensure that Mailchimp bots are not blocked when accessing the RSS feed.

Please download and install the update.
Be sure to clear your site’s cache (caching plugins) beforehand.

Great! Thanks again. I installed the dev version and all seems good. The IP whitelist did also allow MailChimp access, too. So, I removed the allow for that IP, then tested the connection again with MailChimp and it is still successfully connected with the dev version of CleanTalk active. Thanks for the quick response!
