    Hello,

I have installed, activated and configured MailChimp for my WP site. I have now installed Top Bar and am trying to activate it, however, it is not activating. Note, I have multisite on my WP install. When trying to activation, the option says Network Activate. When I click this option, it does not activate.

    Please advise. Thank you.

Just learned that MailChimp Top Bar did not activate because it requires your server to run PHP 5.3 or higher. 🙁

    Hey Sharon,

Due to security issues we have added that restriction so users force their web hosting companies to upgrade.
If you would like to know more about this you can also visit http://www.wpupdatephp.com/update.

I regret that I have not been much help, but I would suggest asking your host to upgrade their PHP version.

I am using PHP v 5.4.43 and I still receive the following message when trying to activate this plugin:

“MailChimp Top Bar did not activate because it requires your server to run PHP 5.3 or higher.”

Scratch that. Turns out the specific version used for this wp instance is 5.2.17
