    Hi there, thanks for reaching out about this! It seems like this is an issue for the GitHub repo, could you please log an issue there for this?

    I noticed that mailto: is added correctly when adding an email link in the Classic Block (which is basically the Classic Editor experience in a Block), so that could be a good option to use in the meantime.
