• Hi, I can’t access pages I create – when I click on them, I get this: 403 Error – Forbidden
You have recieved this message because the resource you have requested is not accessable by the webserver due to file permissions or other locking conditions. Please verify that you have access rights to the requested resource or that the Apache daemon has access rights to the requested resource before trying again.

Also, I cannot delete a category I created, so this repeatedly appears on the page when I don’t want it to.

I added a new page in and this doesnt appear on the site, even though I selected a ‘2’ for its order.

    help!

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    hi Esmi,

Thanks so much for your help – it worked! I deactivated plugins and found it was the .html plugin causing the problem. Do i actually need to have this plugin? Its just a website.

I don’t know that plugin. What is it for?

I have no idea! I had the blog installed for me by someone who does it for free…so not a clue im afraid!

There should be a url(web address) or description associated with the plugin on the Plugins page in your Admin area.

How old is your site, how many Pages (as opposed to Posts) do you have and how long have you been using this plugin? The only problem I can see is that you might have to re-build your search rankings on your Pages.

My site is just a few weeks old. I had someone install wordpress for me and they installed the plugins too – no idea which ones though. I dont have a clue about wordpress, and today is first day I am actually adding in content etc.

In that case, you should be able to live without the HTML On Pages plugin. What permalink structure has been set up for your site? (See Settings -> Permalink)
