Sorry, but nothing in core can selectively delete products. The uninstall script requires a checkbox to be checked, and that removes ALL products, so I don’t think its that at all.
i dont think they are deleted but probably lost?
i lost about 100 products from 2000 so something else must happened.
the issue is what should i do.
i just did a search on both of my databases for a lost product and in one i can find references and in the other not.
Can you find them in your WP_POSTs table and see if they are published and a correct post type?
i cant find them at all.
i am checking one category in site A which has 47 products
and in site B it has 7
when i search using keywords for the missing there is no reference.
during the update, WooCommerce does a database update, anything i should do before that?
Don’t look at the category counts because they exclude out of stock products. Look at the count on the ‘products’ screen.
in backend>products is where i see the difference
my php is 5.5.9 and mysql 5.6.16
i am checking one category in site A which has 47 products
and in site B it has 7
Check the count of all products, and count per post status.
in site A they are 2100 in site B they are 2000
all published nothing with different status
Are you able to narrow the list to find which ones go missing? Are they perhaps a custom product type added by a plugin?
no custom type plugins, the ones i have
uber menu
woosidebars (Woothemes)
woocommerce mailchimp
woocommerce product search
virtue pinacle
WooCommerce Payment Gateway Based Fees
I will restore my site and try to update again, but if there is anything you can recommend please do.
i cannot really tell which ones are missing but i can try if that will help.
Ok, just see if you can find which products went missing. It may just be that the count was off.
what do you mean by count was off?
