Lost Password and not receiving email

    I installed WordPress a few days ago and already forgot my password. I have no access to my wp admin panel. When I go to the wp-admin login, I am able to click Lost Password and add my email, but I never actually receive the email.
    If I go to the wordpress.org site, there is a login there and a password that works fine. I thought these accounts were one and the same, but I guess not?
    How do I retrieve my lost password or new password via email so I can get started with wordpress and my website already?
