Lost log-in details

    Hi! I need assistance in accessing my Dashboard.

    I had my computer reformatted and lost my saved log-in details for my site (manilagirl.org). Yeah, I know, I should have backed up.

    I have the username “sdedace” but I forgot the password and the email linked to the said username. Hence, I do not really know how to recover my details.

    How do I get in touch with WordPress for this?

    Hi Sophie,

    WordPress.org does not keep any information pertaining to your username and password. These are created (by the user) when you install WordPress on your server (manilagirl.org). They are stored in the database.

    AFAIK, you can’t ‘recover’ the password directly from the database (MD5 encrypted), but you can reset it to something new.

    If you don’t know how to access your database, or how to use FTP, your hosting provider might (should) help you.
