Lost installer.php HELP!

Hello,

I have a duplicator backup file (80MB) but lost the installer.php AND I renamed it. So, now I only have a renamed backup file.

Is there any way how I can 1) get the proper installer.php (I extracted it but there is no backup installer.php like others have suggested) and 2) recreate the original name?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Actually, you can get the isntaller.php file that comes with the backup from the backup archive as instructed in this post:
https://duplicator.com/knowledge-base/how-to-get-the-original-installer-that-came-with-the-archive/

You will need to rename the archive to its original name to be able to run the backup restoration.

If you are not able to rename the backup archive to its original name, please extract the backup archive and provide me with the full installer.php file name and I will provide you with the backup archive original name.

Hi @mohammedeisa,

if I open the backup with Winrar, I am able to see all the folders. However, in the main folder there is only db-error.php and index.php but no other files (other than folders).

Unfortunately, I already deleted the website so there is no way for me to redownload the files. Now I only have a renamed backup file, which seems to contain no installer.php

@brainprotectguy These directories and files are not created using Duplicator. Can you please check this?

@mohammedeisa Oh, so I might have used another wordpress backup tool. That makes sense. Is that what you mean?

@brainprotectguy Yes, this is possible and I’m sure that this is not a a backup created using Duplicator.
