Lost index page…

    HELP!!

    I had a beautiful WordPress blog going and somehow lost the index page entirely. It was inadvertently overwritten. So sad.

    I deleted the installation. But WordPress told me I had to do it manually because ‘A necessary file is missing’ for auto deletion through Cpanel.

    Ok… so I deleted everything manually. Deleted the MysQl database and user… deleted the fantastico WordPress folder…

    Now trying to reinstall back to the same location (root), Fantastico Wpress install is telling me I ‘cannot install more than one instance in the root directory…”

    There is NO WordPress in the root because I deleted it manually. What do I do NOW?? Currently I have no index page till I can get WP reinstalled.

    Appreciate the help.
