Support » Plugin: Gutenberg » Loss of Functionality

  • I tried this on a few of my sites. It doesn’t work. It is not intuitive. The Blocks are bulky and it makes posting/editing harder.

Each new paragraph gets a new block?! Are you kidding me? Try posting story with multiple paragraphs and dialogue, a 25pg story becomes 100’s of blocks and if need to edit a small section gets overly complicated fast.

Tabs function doesn’t work, so if you need to split any post into different tab groups – nope.

Gallery functions limited. Can’t do carousel of images, most only be in columns.

Do not make this mandatory!! The Classic system works just fine – leave it be!

  • Nothing becomes complicated, since you have the structure…

Galleries are not a function of the classic editor, and plugins for galleries are slow and bloated. So i’m glad we can have them in Gutenberg.

Yes! Agree, seen a lot of people talking about malfunctioning features on Gutenberg that do not exist in the usual editor without extra plugins. Only issue with the gallery is that I want “more” from it. I want to be able to URL-link each image if I wish. Gutenberg seem to integrate seemlesly with some other plugins that in normal state need a call to action first, that’s nifty!
