Hi:
At the top of the ticket list is a PREFERENCES tab that includes one option in it called EDIT IN NEW WINDOW. If you turn that on then whenever you click the TICKET ID in the ticket list the ticket will open in a new tab. This way you can edit the ticket in one tab while maintaining the original ticket list in another tab.
Its not exactly what you’re looking for but it does allow you to preserve your ticket list settings while editing a ticket.

Are you clicking the link for the ID or the link for the ticket title? You should be clicking the link for the ticket id.

oh, i was clicking the edit
product filter disappeared in the new version (why?)
so had to go back to old version

The product filter never worked properly so it was removed (the dynamic integration with WC and EDD makes the filter unreliable) . You can instead sort your ticket list by product and use other filters to narrow it down.
Old versions before 4.3.2 are insecure with known security issues – version 4.3.2 had a number of security fixes in it so you definitely want to be running it instead of an older version.
