• Hello. I want to start managing contributors to my site, and I’m looking for a tool that does what the “workflow” (http://www.sixapart.com/pronet/plugins/plugin/workflow.html) plugin does for Movable Type.

In other words, I want to be able for my contributors to save their entries to the system, unitl I get to review them and approve them. I don’t want them to be able to post directly to live.

Any easy way to do this?

  • This is built into WordPress; authors at user level 1 can only save posts as draft.

Ahh…. See, now… see how little I know? Lol. Ok, so when a user register on my site, I just assign them a level, and level 1 can only save drafts… right?

    Ok, cool. Thanks.

That’s right. See the Codex page on user levels for more information on what each level is restricted to:

I was looking for something like this, for instance when i make posts from digg, I’d like them to enter a hold status before they make my website… what user level in 2.0.4 must have to make this work?
