Looking for wordpress Board/Forum plugin

    I have a website for a couple of years with vbulletin in a directory, but unfortunately moderation and optimizing is a nightmare. When I leave it be for about a month, amount of spam and false users etc. I want to throw away vbulletin and find something uses WP. To the point – did anyone uses bbPress or Buddypress?
    I don’t find it very popular, maybe it’s don’t working so good and because of that there’s little people using it. How often is it update?

    It’s very clean and simple, SEO also look good. Somebody know what plugin they use? If not buddypress or bbpress what do you recommend?

    I am really surprised that vBulletin still has not created a WP version yet after all this time.

    I am using the Simple Press forum plugin which is full-featured and quite robust and looks like vbulletin.

    The plugin is free to download at http://simple-press.com/ but for support questions, you have to pay for membership.

    If you are serious about running a forum on your WP site, then I highly recommend Simple Press and paying $10 for a minimum 1-month subscription to answer any set up questions you may have. It also sells plugins for this forum to extend its functionality.
