Login to different subdomain

Is this possible to achieve?
Have a domain with one theme
http://www.example.com (theme 1)
Have a subdomain with an entirely different theme
http://www.sub.example.com (theme 2)

When a user logs into http://www.example.com they are taken to http://www.sub.example.com
