Login Problem

I had my web guy create my site. I always new my username and password but when i tried to log on to wp id get the authentication required pop up. According to the forums id have to contact my hosting company which i did and they lifted that block. But now im having trouble logging in. I had my username and password saved with chrome and its not working. I cant remember if i changed my password but when i went to lost password link, i entered my username and it said that an email was sent to my email address with login instructions but i never received it and i have no idea on how to login. I hope i wasnt hacked and someone put in their email address instead. Can anyone help?
