• When trying to log in at a blog in order to be able to comment, registered users are being taken to their user info page, being asked to update it and, when updated are taken back into a page asking them to sign in all over again (this happened in Firefox and IE). Also, if “view site” is selected at the top, the blogger is still prompted to log in when trying to comment.

    How can this be fixed?

    Thanks ever so.

  • Could you create a dummy user called “test” for us to try out rather than registering for the blog?

I created a dummy user for myself and tried this and was taken through the same endless circle, if that makes any difference.

I also checked with the blog owner and, as he is also a teacher, registering and commenting is a part of their class, so the option to not need to be registered really isn’t an option.

(also, I just tried to do this, but the layout has disappeared [no one else has access to the server except myself and I have done nothing to it] and it is slow to respond and the pages are now not loading properly/at all, I’ll try to get back to this later, thanks…)
