I have cleared the cache and cookies and also deleted the plugins. Still won’t let me log in.
Not really confident to delete the log in.php
Is there a easier way?
I can;t log in to the admin page so how can I reset the password etc?
Just had a look and the file $user_login = $user_data->user_login; is already the right one!
I can’t reset my password because I can’t log in to my admin page!

WordPress doesn’t recognize my email address so I can’t get a new password!! GRRRRRRRRRR
In a phpMyAdmin query dialog:
UPDATE wp_users SET user_pass = MD5(‘your_new_password_here’) WHERE user_login = ‘your_admin_OR_user_name_here’

I am having the same problem!!!!
I am using Filezilla and I am not very literate at this so am having trouble with working out the instructions in the links!
Also I don’t think a couple of the links are applicable to my situation!
This is hopeless. I have tried suggestions nothing has worked.. am I gonna have to re-install everything?
I am just as frustrated! It will take forever if I have to re-install!
