lockout
-
Hi – today i made a login and was immediately locked out. I had a grey screen with a e-mail input field for a request to unlock my access. Since i am the admin, this lead to nothing. It also said something about a session expired. I then deleted the plugin manually, cleared htaccess, removed all tables and options and also cleared the scheduled hooks. The database was absolutely clear from aiowps. Then i reinstalled the plugin. To my great surprise, i was again locked out. And again, i removed the plugin for it prohibits my access. How can i remove the lockout? regards theo

Hi @timholz,
You have been locked out, which means the IP address you are using to log in has been locked by AIOS.
Please check the failed login events under AIOS → Dashboard → Audit Log to determine why your IP address was locked.
As a temporary measure, you can add the following constant to your
wp-config.phpfile to disable the login lockout feature: beforewp-setings.phpincluded.define( 'AIOS_DISABLE_LOGIN_LOCKOUT', true );After adding this, please check AIOS → Dashboard → Login Lockout and confirm whether your IP address is listed there.
Regards,
Hi – i did everything you said. Reinstalled the plugin, changed the aiowps_login_page_slug. But when i enter it after the url, i get a 404. I cannot access the backend. Is there a way to disable this login slug or do i have to deinstall the plug in again? regards theo
Thanks for your effort to help. But i cannot login to admin and therefore i had no other choice than to manually delete the plugin. I can’t help it. regards theo
Hi @timholz,
Defining
AIOS_DISABLE_LOGIN_LOCKOUTshould not cause any issues with the renamed login page.If you have renamed the login page, it should still be accessible using the configured slug. We have not had any recent issues reported where the Rename Login Page feature is not working.
There is no direct option to disable the renamed login page. You can verify the configuration in the database by running the query below:
SELECT * FROM wp_options WHERE option_name LIKE '%aio%';In the
aio_wp_security_configsoption, you should find the renamed login page slug stored asaiowps_login_page_slug. Thewp_prefix may be different depending on your site’s database table prefix.Regards
hi @hjogiupdraftplus thanks for the elaborate answer. In fact, prior to deleting the plugin, i checked the database and the slug was present in the appropriate location. I can’t help it. It lead to a 404 and wp-admin said: you don’t have the permission etc. I’m stuck here. By the way, two other plugins were installed, when added aiowps to my plugins. What’s the story with these plugins? Can they be deleted? regars theo

Hi @timholz
Could you please let me know which two plugins you are referring to here?
AIOS is a single plugin, but it may show other TeamUpdraft plugins ( For example, UpdraftPlus, WP Optimise, etc ) as installation recommendations.
Regards
Hi @hjogiupdraftplus – thanks for the message. According to my database: WP Optimise, Burst and Internal Link Juicer. After installing aiowps these plugins were also present. regards theo
Hi @timholz,
During the initial AIOS installation, the onboarding wizard shows these as recommended WordPress.org plugins by TeamUpdraft and, if allowed, installs them. However, they are not required plugins for AIOS; they are additional plugins recommended.

Hi @hjogiupdraftplus – thanks for the clarification. Regards theo
Hi @hjogiupdraftplus – i give it up, again i tried to install your plugin and again i am locked out, it says i don’t have the permission. this is really annoying. By aiowps
Hi @timholz,
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Here, the “You do not have permission to access this page.” message means that the login page has been renamed. As mentioned, you can find the renamed login page slug in the database.
You can verify the configuration by running the following query:
SELECT * FROM wp_options WHERE option_name LIKE '%aio%';In the
aio_wp_security_configsoption, you should find the renamed login page slug stored asaiowps_login_page_slug. Thewp_prefix may be different depending on your site’s database table prefix. If accessing
{site_url}/{aiowps_login_page_slug}still results in a 404 error, please check whether the issue is caused by caching. If your site uses any caching mechanism, clear the cache and try again. If the issue persists, please let me know the details. If possible, please share a screenshot or any relevant information. You can use Pastebin.com or a similar service to share additional details.
If you want, I can send you the complete instructions for removing the AIOS plugin, including its files and database entries, so you can reinstall it from scratch.
Regards
Hi @hjogiupdraftplus – ok, thanks. I cleared everything concerning aiowps from db. Installed the plugin for the fifth time. I left the default config and logged out and logged in with wp-admin. That worked. But when i tried to configure the plugin i got «Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.» Then i tried again to login with wp-admin, and again «Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.» I can’t help it, but there is something wrong here. I am stuck and have no other choice than to delete the plugin. This is really annoying. regards theo
Hi @hjogiupdraftplus – i made complete new installation from a backup. Now aiowps works again as expected. Regards theo
