Locked out from my wp-admin login

    I tried blocking myself to see how the recovery process looks like. Was a big mistake. I got the “Unlock email requested” mail and pressed on all three links that are supposed to unblock different things to let me into wp-admin. which didn’t have any effect.

    Now I’m completly locked out and get the “VERIFICATION REQUIRED: Additional verification is required for login. Please check the email address associated with the account for a verification link.” everytime I try to login.

    I have no idea how to solve this. Help appreciated.

    Ok so the mail “Login Verification Required” was sent to my spam folder at gmail. Is this a mail sent by Wordfence or WordPress?

    The “Unlock email requested” mail is clearly sent by Wordfence because it contains Wordfence links.
