Locked out emails

For the past few days, I’ve been getting upward of 40 emails per day telling me that I have been locked out of my site due to too many invalid login attempts. I haven’t been logging in and out much at all, I have whitelisted my IP multiple times, and I can still login to my site.
The emails are just a nuisance; even during the specified time period when they say I will be locked out, I can log in. Is there any good reason for this?
