Location of template files

    PDB initially stores the template folder within the pdb plugin folder. When you install the ‘template folder addon’, it creates a template folder outside the plugin folder.

    I’ve installed all my template files in the new template folder location outside the plugin folder. I then decided to tidy up and removed the template files that were within the plugin folder. I then discovered that some of my shortcodes did not work because they could not find the template files. The one shortcode I had problems with was pdb-single.

    What is the actual procedure regarding the template folder.

    The template directory in the plugin is where all the built-in templates are kept. Any templates that you modify should be kept in another location. The plugin expects it’s built-in templates to be in it’s own templates folder, so removing files from that folder can break things.

    The plugin’s built-in templates will be restored when the plugin is updated or reinstalled. Any other templates in there will be deleted, so there is no need to delete files from that folder.
