• Hi,
    I just successful upgraded to the 1.0-platinum Version from 0.72. I am very happy with it. πŸ˜‰
    There is only one little problem I have and I didn’t found a solutions or similar problem in the forum. If I make a post with preformated text inside it would be complete formated with “br” and “p” html-entities. I have tried pre and code but none of them seems to correct the output. The preformated texts could be php, c, c++ or anything else of source-code.
    I am not sure how I should deal with this.
    Is there a know problem about this behaivour? Have other users discovered this or may a workaround?
    best regards,
    Gordon

  • Gordon,
    Do you have a link to an example page?

    Hi Craig,
    sure here is the link:
    http://www.bsd-network.org/weblog/index.php?p=558
    The preformated code was integrated using the “pre” tag. My css file include the following
    font-family: monospaced;
    font-size: 80%;
    background: #xxxxxx;
    color: #ccccc;
    nothing special…
    within the pre tag the \n’s are converted to br’s which douples all linebreaks.
    And some p’s also add to the content of the pre-tag. I think that should not be happen…
    best regards,
    Gordon

    If you already format all of your posts with proper HTML, you can edit the wp-includes/vars.php file, and at the bottom, comment out the line that says:

    add_filter('the_content', 'wpautop');
