Litespeed WP Cache Plugin Always Misses

    Hi Litespeed Support Team,

    We have installed a Litespeed on a vps along with the Litespeed caching plugin. No matter what I do, I can never get a hit on the cache for this site -https://livelyliving.com.au/

    I have included some debug logs but they are not super helpful.

    Refreshing the page never gets a hit and always a miss.

    I can see the /lscache directory filled but nothing is being served.

    I have set up this plugin and server config on a couple of servers/sites now and it seems to be pretty random when a cached paged is hit or missed. I love the plugin and the server but need a bit of help to figure it out 100%. I have followed the WIKI and it is all installed correctly (even memcached).

    Any help would go a long way as we are migrating all our hosting VM’s to litespeed over the next couple of weeks and need to have this working properly for our clients thanks so much.

    Hi,

    Could you please try :

    1. disable LSCWP

    2. check your .htaccess, remove all the LSCWP-related-rules if there is any left, it should be wrapped by word like “LSCWP rule ..”

    3. remove everything inside of “lscache” directory

    4. add this code into htaccess

    RewriteEngine on
CacheLookup on
RewriteRule .* - [E=cache-control:max-age=120]

    5. access any page of your sites , refresh it like twice or thrice , now check if you see cache hit header?

    6. either in step 5 you see or not see the header, please remove the above rule you added in step 4 and empty the “lscache” directory again.

    turns out that works!
    i think it might be that there were some other htaccess rules in there messing it from other caching plugins.
    should I reintsall the litespeed plugin now?

    Hi,

    Yes, if with above rule you can see cache hit header, then yes , remove that rule , reinstall/re-enable LSCWP and try again
