No, you use the taxonomy creation tool in the Listings menu to classify listings.
Each Taxonomy will have it’s own page URL (e.g. http://mydomain.com/status/reduced/) will display the listings that have the “Reduced” status.
That is pretty cool, Thank you, but I think I didn’t make my request very clear.
What we want to do is build our own custom “Home” page from the default Genesis framework.
In Appearance | Customize | Static Front Page one can select “Latest posts” or “Static page”. We want to be able to display (for example) a few select listings and/or the featured listings plus some other textual messages and information.
You can use the Featured Listings widget to display listings from any custom taxonomy in any widget area.
