Listing image & vocabulary

Hello,
I’ve just installed BePro Listing and am trying to get a lay of the land. When I upload an image for a listing it is displayed as a thumbnail, but when I click on the listing, it also appears in the main header of the website. I’d like the main header to remain where there and the listing image to remain as a thumbnail. How can I prevent this?

Also, is it possible to change some of the vocabulary to suit my preferences? For example, the ‘Search Listings’ button, I’d like it to just say ‘Search’ or ‘Search Services’.

Can you share a screenshot of your image issue?

Most text in BePro Listings can be changed via the translation files. We talk about those files in our documentation

Is it possible to have just the categories listed on the first page, rather than the categories and listings?

Is it possible to put the categories in a particular order?

Hi,

Looks like a conflict with your theme. Does the issue go away when using one of the stock wordpress themes (twentytwelve, twentythirteen, etc)?

If you are using a custom theme, you may need to switch the “Template Type” option to “file” on the BePro Listings->Options page (page/post tab)

Hi
The website is the twentyten theme. I tried switching the Template Type and but there was no change. Any other suggestions?

Hi,

Yes, we checked your website. That theme is designed to show the featured image in the header as explained on its product page.

Unfortunately, the plugin cannot control or prevent your theme from doing this. You could try deactivating the “show imgs” option in the plugin and using the theme’s image management feature.

However, it sounds like you really need that theme to stop showing all featured images in the header/banner. Your only option with this theme, is to create a custom template file as described in the following article
