List latest pages (not posts!)

Hello,

I just got WordPress yesterday and have no website building experience, so forgive me if I take awhile to understand.
I have this theme: http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/wp-creativix

which displays the latest pages written on the homepage. All I want to do is make it display the latest posts instead of pages. I figured it’d be as easy as searching through the editor and trying to decode the language to change some word from “posts” to “pages” but alas I’m too much of a noob to even do that.

Please help!
