Hiya,

This plugin looks really good, but when I click a link in a newsletter, it takes me to a “Whoops” page.

My external links are being rewritten as http://example.com/sendpress/eyJpZCI6MCwicmVwb3J0IjoiMTExNDUiLCJ2aWV3IjoidHJhY2tlciIsInVybCI6Imh0dHA6XC9cL3d3dy5jaGVtdHJhaWxzcHJvamVjdHVrLmNvbVwvd3AtY29udGVudFwvcGx1Z2luc1wvbmV3c2xldHRlclwvc3RhdGlzdGljc1wvbGluay5waHA/cj1NVHN5TzJoMGRIQTZMeTkzZDNjdVoyOW1kVzVrYldVdVkyOXRMM1IxW2hkd1l6cyUzRCJ9/

…which are not working.

How to fix (or turn off this rewriting)?

I have solved this issue with the help of this article: http://docs.sendpress.com/article/63-emails-and-links-404-page-not-found

I think the plugin would be much better if it could automatically perform a simple check to see if the redirections work and, if not, update the settings automatically.

I have the same problem but the steps outlined in the article does not help.
