• Hi there, need help. I’m using the Graphene theme or template and my links are not clickable in my pages.

I have been reading and have a general idea of the problem. However, I don’t know code and a one sentence fix is not going to help me. I need a go here and tell me how to get there and do this. Then tell me the code.

Yep, I’m a rookie, but trainable. Appreciate your help.

  • Hi basketcse,

Welcome to WordPress! I believe the links you are referring to are the ones in your Posts. For example, the link to http://www.karensbookhaven.com/ in the First Review In Is Awesome Post on your Home page.

Since you mentioned you’re still learning the ropes, I want to make sure you’ve worked through a good guide on using the WordPress editor. If not, here’s one that should help:

Complete Guide to the WordPress Visual Post Editor

If you want to jump to the specific area that covers links, do a search on that page for “Add a Link” (without the quotes).

If that doesn’t resolve the issue, try changing to a different theme. If that fixes the issue, then yes the issue is with the theme. If it doesn’t, the issue is most likely not the theme.

    Hope this helps!

Thanks for the response. Whoops, that was a dumb mistake. They are clickable now. However, I think there is a size or other issue with this theme and that’s more the issue I had been reading about. That needs code knowledge to fix it. On my other site which is a WP, but not a WP.org, the same Amazon link shows the book as well as a clickable button. Didn’t have to use the link button either when writing the post. It was read as a link and appeared the way it is automatically.

I have found that a lot of the things or features I want need plug-ins now. Guess you’re right though, for me, I’ll probably have to just change themes. Yuck. Again, thank you.
