Hello i got a website which is in 3 languages. The creater of the website used xii language plugin as i know.
I tried to speed up the website and installed w3 total cache which ended in a total mess.I got a backup but somehow it seems the backup was already
with some mistakes as i couldn’t see any w3 total cache files on it.
My issue is that when clicking on the flag from the mainwebsite its working fine but as soon as i go to another page and click there the flag it gets an site not found error because the link in the flag changes into

domain.com/pagename/?lang=de_de and it should be domain.com/?lang=de_de

YEsterday a freelancer “fixed” the issue and the links where working properly but today they changed again into old non working links.

Any idea how i can find quickly the reason why these links are being changed?

  • I seem to recall that before you deactivate w3 total cache, it is important first to clear it’s cache.

Also it may be helpful to force clear your browser cache before you attempt further troubleshooting.

Last, it usually is helpful if you provide a link to your site.
