Is there a way to include a button/link to the main category page that holds all posts from that category?

You can use the Title or there is a footer link supported.

The Title link to the category page, if only category is selected. Otherwise you have to fill the link manual to a category page (http://tiptoppress.com/category-posts-widget/documentation-4-8/#Title).

The Footer link works very simillar but you have to set a link text (http://tiptoppress.com/category-posts-widget/documentation-4-8/#Footer).
