I don’t see this at all. What browser/platform are you using? I’m running Firefox on a PC.
It happens on both Firefox and Safari on a mac. I haven’t tried IE or Opera. I guess that’s good news on the PC side of things.
Huh. I’m checking my Mac – Firefox, not doing it….Safari, not doing it. (Mac OSX running Tiger, Safari 2.0 and Firefox 1.5)
This isn’t happening for me at all.
You know, and afterthought – what it could be is that Safari doesn’t do well with refreshing it’s cache (I think Firefox has the same problem sometimes) – could it just be that you were fiddling with something and that just “stuck”? Maybe try to dump your cache and see what happens.
I’m using the exact same versions of software. I’ve checked it on multiple machines and they all are doing the same thing. I tried clearing my cache but that didn’t work.
You must not be seeing what i’m talking about. You have to roll over a link and then the page will create a blank gap at the very bottom of the page, you’re going to have to scroll down a bit more to see it, it’s odd, it tacks it onto the bottom.
And after the gap is created, if you roll over a link, you can see the links status in the gap, as if it were the status bar of a browser.
I’ll look again, but your initial instructions said to *not* roll over *any* links until you scroll to the very bottom, where I should roll over either “Send to Friend” or “Comment”. That’s exactly what I did – avoided all links, scrolled to the bottom and moused over the links (first one, then the other) I got nothing.
Aha – wait – I’ve refreshed and *now* I see it. It’s not very noticeable, though! Now that I’ve noticed it, it does show up on the PC, too!
I tell you what, the quickest way to check yourself is to validate. You have a few HTML errors, but your CSS won’t even come up in the validator because of an image error. It’s possible that that’s what’s causing your issue. I’d try to validate and then see what happens.
