Hi Ricardo, Please update to version 6.7.2 and check the new option labeled ‘Use categories to filter search results’. This should allow you to use the categories to filters search results. Let me know if this works as expected.

I’ve upgraded and activated the new option “Use categories to filter search results” found on “Link Library – Configurations” > “Categories” folder.
But I haven’t noticed any change on the search behavior.
For example:
If you search for “algarve”
https://geoportais.com/?searchll=algarve
it returns 6 results on 2 categories: Regionais(2), Municipais(4).
The categories filter (drop-down) shows the first category selected “Regionais”, but it is not filtering it.
If you change the category to “Municipais”, it shows all links on that category, ignoring the text filter.
Am I doing something wrong? Have I missed activating any other options to get the categories filter behavior working?
Oh, I did not notice that you had it selected to show a single category at a time with the drop-down list. I did not work on that use-case. I will work on it in the coming week.
I have not had a chance to work on this yet. Will let you know when I’ve made progress.
Found enough time to implement and test today. Please try latest version 6.7.5 and see if the search filtering works for you now.

I’ve upgraded and tested. And I confirm that I’m able to filter the results by category.
In my case with: “show a single category at a time with the drop-down list”. Please correct me if I’m wrong, just after the search it was expected to list links only with the showned category. After the search it keeps listing results of all categories. Only after I select a different category from the list, it will filter the list by that selected category.
Unfortunately I’ve also noticed a parallel problem, with the category counter for search results.
It seems the directory counter only counts the search occurrences in the title, but the search results show others that have occurrences on other link fields.
Please have a look at these examples:
https://geoportais.com/?searchll=algarve
The category counter shows:
Regionais (2)
Municipais (4)
But the list results shows 5 link with Municipais category.
The side effect is, if the category counter gets 0 results (in the title), but there are in fact results. That category is not shown and you will not be able to filter it.

It counts only Regionais(2)
And are listed, but not counted:
Municipais (5)
Ibericos (1)
