At the moment, there isn’t a way to add just a line break. There’s no built-in option for it and HTML would get stripped. You’d need to make use of the section tags, as you’ve referenced.
I think this is a useful feature to make the emails look more professional.

This is a bit of a problem for me toooo, as the mail does not look very professionally with big gaps between the info presented if using [section][/section]. Could the following be implemented [newline] [/newline] ?
That would help making the mail better readable !
Now I get this send to the client:
The service,provider,location should all be on a separate line.

I created a fix for this problem, and will sent it to development
Added a new replacement blok [newline], so now you can add a newline between texts
