I’ve been testing a site that’s about to go live soon, and I’ve noticed over the last few days that the items I’ve been using the Limited Deals extension on have NOT been set as “Out of Stock” when the time is up. The deal just simply stops being a deal (which is appropriate). However, the Limited Deals documentation specifically states that, when the time limit is up and the deal is expired, the product will automatically be set as “out of stock”. This isn’t happening.
I tested two different products:
product 1) I checked the “Only offer this product between the scheduled date. After which, the product cannot be purchased.” box, and set the deal to expire today. I set a “sale price”, but not regular price.
product 2) I checked the “Only offer this product between the scheduled date. After which, the product cannot be purchased.” box, set a regular price, then set a sale price. I clicked “Schedule” next to the Sale Price and scheduled the sale to end today.
In both cases, the product was available for sale, and was marked as such. But today, product 1 simply had everything removed (the product is there, but the price and “Add to cart” button is removed); and product 2 lists the regular price and the add to cart button.
Also in both cases, the sale is over, but both items are still set as “in stock.”
Is there some step I’m missing? I need these items to be set as “out of stock” when the sale is over, so that the WaitList extension will kick in – which it won’t do unless an item is out of stock.
