Hey there!
Regarding WCSubscriptions I’d like to know if plugins are needed to change price, free trial period (General tab) and “Limit Subscriptions” in (Advanced tab)? I mean apply these changes to active clients subscriptions. (Its my understanding that I can change these parameters with no plugin, but this will NOT be apllied to active subscriptions (made before changes), pls correcdt me if I´m wrong)).
One doubt I have is if I need to prevent subscribers to use more than one free trial per subscription (but only re-subscribe to it) the correct option would be “Limit to one oactive subscription”, so if clients cancel subscription this would force them to re-active the same subscription an use only the rest of free trial, instead of start the whole free trial time again, is that right?
Sorry but for me WCS documentation is not clear enough on that.

Hi!

Let me check I understand your question correctly. You’d like to prevent existing subscribers from cancelling the subscription then re-subscribing to benefit from a free trial – is that right?

You would need the setting “Limit to one of any status” to prevent a customer from benefiting from the free trial twice.

Changes to the subscription product will not affect active subscriptions to that product. You could consider making a new product with correct settings, and attaching it to each of the ongoing subscriptions, and removing the old, wrongly configured product.

A change in product price, likewise will only affect new customers. Existing customers will continue to be charged at the original price. You can however change the recurring total paid on the subscription level. This is only possible if your payment gateway allows it.
