    Hi,

I’ve been using Responsive Lightbox & Gallery for years and it’s been great.

Sadly, the Gutenberg update seems to have broken the lightbox functionality.

See the galleries on Visiting Eswatini. These no longer open in a lightbox and neither do the individual images in the article.

The galleries created before the update still work (example here), but single images do not. Please help!

    Thank you,

    Kia

    Hi,

I noticed that support tickets here don’t often get answered so for anyone having the same issue, I resolved it by deactivating Responsive Lightbox & Gallery and installing FancyBox for WordPress. This works for galleries as well as individual images. Just make sure the ‘Link To’ is set to ‘Media File’ and not ‘Attachment Page’ or ‘None’.

Thanks to dFactory for the years of service and sorry to abandon you!

    hi, same problem
I have Fancybox for WordPress (version 3.2.2) installed, no problem with single image in gutemberg, but when I click on a Gallery item it will pop up the Fancybox gallery AND the original Gutemberg on top of it, that’s unusable.
This is made setting the link to “media” in the gallery.
If the setting is “attachment” the result is a “not found image” error
If the setting is “none” every click on a image of the gallery has no result.
    Thanks

    WordPress 5.2.2

Thank you for this solution! I used it too and it works!!
