Could you please try the following solution? Edit the page containing your gallery and check its shortcode configuration. Expand Action on image click section and make sure Image click action option is set to Open lightbox.
In addition, this setting can be modified generally from Photo Gallery Options > General tab.

@wdteam It is the most current version of the plugin (1.5.4)
@wdteam I got it, it appears after an update of the plugin the shortcakes were wrong because the id of the galleries changed.

That’s quite strange, the IDs of the galleries should not change after updating. Could you please let us know which version was installed prior to installing the update?

I searched your forum but have not found a solution to my galleries (lightbox) that stopped working correctly. Photo Gallery Version 1.5.5 has worked properly for years but stopped opening lightbox upon clicking thumbnail. If you go to the bottom of the page and click next page then it starts working but visitors will not find this extra step.

All other plugins were deactivated with no change in Photo Gallery.
