LayerSlider and Async JS

I’m trying to make LayerSlider WP and Async Javascript work together. The interesting part is that with Async JS enabled it works fine (excluding JQuery) but when I check the “Enable Autoptimize Support:” option, regardless if I pick Defer or Async, the slider stops working.

I asked LayerSlider support and they said to disable optimization on the slider, also directed me to the slider settings that improve performance. I added LayerSlider in the exclude list of Async Javascript but it didn’t do anything, probably because the errors are JQuery errors, but there is no “exclude” options under “Enable Autoptimize Support:”

Any ideas?
