Support » Fixing WordPress » Latest WordPress update Version 4.5.2 causing issues with CMS

  • We use a CMS that views, takes, and edits orders from our website. Since updating to the latest version of wordpress Version 4.5.2 the “look” of the CMS (wordpress backend)is different and we cannot view the database, add new order or edit existing ones.

When we try to view the database it just says “loading data from server”
When we try to add new orders, the format looks weird and no fields available to enter data. I have spoke at length with our server managers and the database path is correct. The issue happened right after we updated to the latest version of wordpress.

Is there a way to fix this, or roll back to a previous version of wordpress that worked. Thank you

    We use a CMS

What CMS? How does it interact with WordPress?

The CMS I am referring to is built into the WordPress theme. The theme uses an order system to take orders online and we manage orders within the wordpress dashboard.

That’s not terribly helpful… rolling back can be done but is not a good strategy. You’d do better to debug what’s going wrong with your theme.

Could be ajax. Try the developer tools in Firefox (or Firebug) or Chrome or Safari or IE to see what javascript is trying to load on your site and the errors.

Thank you. We are working with a development team to correct the issue.

Are you using WooCommerce or something else?
